Virtues

Virtues
are
a power,
the application of which
is particularly conducive
to achieving results.

Different powers– different virtues or character strengths– can help in different situations.

Embodying a virtue can shatter blocks that are hindering us. (See the Personal Alignment protocol in the Core Protocols for more information on this.)

We aren’t born with these virtues and character strengths fully developed. They are changeable, and we can increase our ability to embody them.

For reference, here is a list of character strengths and virtues that detail what each of them are like, how they benefit individuals and teams, and how to develop them. This is not an exhaustive list, just the ones that much is known and written about.

This section owes a great deal to Martin Seligman and Christopher Peterson’s book Character Stengths and Virtues: A Handbook and Classification ((Petersen 2004)). The outline above follows their classification, with some additions.
